Please join Marin Mompreneurs for a special event on Wednesday, April 24th. We are celebrating the Relaunch of Marin Mompreneurs. Our steering committee has been busy enlivening our networking meetings and planning some great events. Megan Calhoun, the founder and CEO of Social Moms, will share her experience in creating an amazing community of social media moms as inspiration to all Mompreneurs. We will have time for networking and refreshments will be served. The event will be held at the Corte Madera Town Center Community Room from 9:15 to 11:00 a.m.

Megan Calhoun is the founder and CEO of SocialMoms, a position she has held since the company launched in September 2008. Located in San Francisco, SocialMoms is an active community of 45,000+ influential, web-savvy, social media “moms” that reaches more than 50 million unique users in the US. SocialMoms creates custom advertising campaigns across social, display, mobile and video for well known brands like Coke, Unilever, P&G, Kraft, Pepsi, Disney, Kimberly-Clark, Dove, Clorox, Alamo and more. Her mission is to help SocialMoms members grow their personal brands online through media opportunities and high-integrity marketing campaigns. She also works closely with journalists to connect her moms to reporters at leading media outlets such as The New York Times, LA Times, CBS This Morning and the Washington Post.

Prior to SocialMoms, Megan spent 12 years in sales and marketing positions where she worked with Fortune 500 companies including Revlon, Pfizer, Genentech and Eli Lilly. She is the author of a children’s book, mother of two, and lives with her husband in Northern California. Megan is a graduate of Indiana University.
